NO BALANCE

Will there ever be balance in this world? Things don't seem to change entirely especially bad things. They only seem to transform themselves so that they adopt new names, new colors or new tastes. Their severity remains though. Look at this in the sense of the diseases that have terrorized the world in the past. Pandemics aren't so new to the world. There was influenza, there was cholera, there was Ebola and typo I'd just to mention a few.

The most recent ones have to HIV/AIDs and Corona.HIV/AIDs has had its fair share of time and done its devastating damages. Numerous global deaths, destabilized families and orphans all over. Scientists worked their fingers off to try and curb it. First, they came up with Anti retroviral drugs (ARVs) much to the reprieve of the already infected and the affected. It breathed some hope into those who saw their end lurking so close.

However, ARVs just solved half the problem. Those infected had some cover now but how about those not infected and at high risk of getting infected?

Now this was another headache to the scientists owing to the dynamic nature of the HIV virus which makes it so difficult for the specialists to pin it down and customize a drug to curb it.

Recently, they came up with an approved practical vaccine against AIDs. You could hear the whole world screaming Hurrah! Finally! Such a relief!

Unfortunately, that is just one problem solved. There's a new bad kid on the block. A novel nuisance equally as bad as AIDs if not worse.

HIV/AIDs down, COVID-19 up and tormenting relentlessly without a lasting solution in sight. Vaccines have been put up but even those already vaccinated are getting knocked over by the virus.Masks are the new normal.

Social gatherings looks like they will never be the same.Did I mention the fact that the transition from AIDs to Covid-19 was so quick? I mean, no break really?

Will balance ever come around?
