How to Get Your Paxum Account Verified in Nigeria (2025 Guide for Adsterra Users)

✅ How I Got My Paxum Account Verified in Nigeria — A Full Guide for Bloggers & Adsterra Users

Welcome!
If you’re a Nigerian blogger, affiliate marketer, or content creator using platforms like Adsterra, you know that earning is one thing — but actually getting paid is another. For many of us in Nigeria, the big challenge comes when it's time to withdraw earnings.

Paxum is one of the most reliable payment options for receiving funds from Adsterra and similar platforms. But here’s the truth: getting verified on Paxum as a Nigerian isn’t always easy. Some users get rejected, stuck in review, or blocked because they used the wrong documents.

So in this post, I’ll show you step-by-step how I got my Paxum account verified from Nigeria — based on my real experience.

🇳🇬 Why Paxum Can Be Difficult for Nigerians

If you're in Nigeria, you've probably faced issues like:

  • NIN slips not being accepted
  • Delays in approval
  • Lack of proper guidance for African users
  • No access to U.S./EU-style utility documents

But don’t worry — it’s possible to get verified. Here's exactly how I did it.

🔐 How I Got My Paxum Account Verified — Step by Step

1️⃣ I Signed Up with My Real Information

On www.paxum.com, I registered using:

  • My real full name
  • My active email
  • A strong password
  • My address as it appears on my Nigerian bank account

Tip: Make sure the address you enter matches exactly with your address document.

2️⃣ I Used My Bank Account Address

For the address section, I used the same address that appears on my bank statement — this is key because it must match the proof of address you’ll upload later.

3️⃣ For Address Verification, I Used My Bank Statement

When Paxum asked for proof of address, I submitted a PDF copy of my Nigerian bank statement.

  • It had my full name and correct address.
  • It was dated within the last 3 months.
  • It was clear and official.

You can also use a utility bill, but a bank statement is often safer and more accessible in Nigeria.

4️⃣ I Provided My TIN (Tax Identification Number)

Paxum required tax information. I submitted:

  • A valid TIN (Tax Identification Number)
  • Issued through the CAC Nigeria for my registered business name

You can get your TIN from https://tin.jtb.gov.ng if you’ve registered a business name with CAC.

📝 Note: This is required as part of your tax self-certification.

5️⃣ For ID Verification, I Used My International Passport

Paxum accepts government-issued IDs. Here's what worked:

Accepted:

  • International Passport (this is what I used)
  • Voter’s Card (PVC)
  • Driver’s License

Not Accepted:

  • Paper NIN slip (rejected immediately)
  • Temporary IDs or unclear documents

📩 What Paxum Asked Me During Verification (And How I Answered)

After uploading my documents and completing the initial registration steps, I received an email from Paxum support requesting more details about how I planned to use the account. If you’re signing up as a blogger, affiliate, or advertiser, you’ll likely get the same questions.

Here’s exactly what Paxum asked — and how you should answer them:

Question 1: What service are you offering? What type of content will you share? Attach your website link.

What to Answer:
You should explain clearly that you're a blogger, content creator, or website owner, and that you publish legitimate content and monetize with advertising platforms.

Example Answer:

I am a blogger and website owner. I publish content such as app reviews, online earning tips, financial guides, and digital product analysis. I also display ads from networks like Adsterra on my website.

Website: https://www.example.com

Question 2: What is your username on the platforms where you offer services (e.g. Adsterra)? Attach screenshots of your profile.

What to Answer:
List the email or username you used to register on Adsterra (or whichever network you're receiving payments from) and attach a screenshot of your profile/dashboard.

Example Answer:

Platform: Adsterra
Username/Email: youremail@example.com
Screenshot attached below showing my Adsterra publisher account.

Question 3: Which companies or individuals will you receive or send funds to/from via Paxum? Are they registered Paxum users?

What to Answer:
List any verified networks or companies you expect to receive payments from — like Adsterra — and mention if they’re known to use Paxum.

Example Answer:

I will receive payments from Adsterra, which is an advertising network. They use Paxum to send funds to publishers.

At this time, I do not expect to send funds to individuals, and I will update Paxum if this changes.

📝 Important Tips:

  • Be clear and truthful in your responses. Paxum uses this for compliance and fraud prevention.
  • Keep your answers professional and concise.
  • Always attach requested screenshots and links to support your claims.

⏱ How Long It Took

  • After uploading all documents and submitting the final application, my account went into “Final Review.”
  • It stayed under review for about 8 days.
  • Finally, on July 16, 2025, my account was approved and fully verified.

🎉 From that point, I could start receiving payments from Adsterra without issues.

💵 Now I Can Get Paid from Adsterra Through Paxum

After verification:

  • I added my Paxum email address to my Adsterra payment settings.
  • Once my Adsterra earnings reached the minimum, they paid me directly into my Paxum wallet.
  • From Paxum, I could withdraw to my Nigerian bank account using EFT or card transfer options.

✅ No more delays, no more stress.
