The Church of Satan is a church where most of us think that Satan is being worshipped. The name rings that kind of bell, but the church is beyond what we think. It is a religious body that is dedicated to Satanism. They have their own bible just like Christians.
The Church was set up by Anton Szandor in April 30, 1966. He was the first high priest of the Church.
Anton was a carnival worker before he became a high priest. He had imbibed lots of occultic teachings and doctrines before he became high priest. These teachings would then give supports to the doctrine of the Church.
The Church of Satan does not worship Satan. They propose this with backings. Christianity has Satan as the father of all liars, but these guys see Satan as a symbol. Christianity is hypocrisy to them. They do not believe in the practice of evil.
The said church preaches individualism and egoism. They are just like atheists who do not believe in the existence of a god. To them, a true believer should be independent and self-reliant.
A typical Satanist thinks that Christmas is not for Jesus. This is a time that they focus on themselves. They rather celebrate themselves and their families than celebrate the Messiah.
Satanists are high level atheists. They may be using the name “Satan”, but they do not recognize him as a god or whatever.
