TO THE SCHOOL OWNER/HEAD
It is normal that whenever a new staff (teacher) is coming out from somewhere with some experiences, once they try to make a move to do things in the new school, problem will start arising, hatred will start , all because the school owner never laid the foundation of no one is more important.
The only time we can balance the gap is when the new staff is being upgraded among others, let the old be upgraded also , go for training, bring new ideas, don't let the new staff be a threat to the old one and vice versa. Lay the foundation of love for everyone, don't be part of the two or three sitting or standing to talk behind a staff, it will definitely bounce back, because they will also stand behind you and stab you.
Respect yourself as either the Head or Owner, do not allow any talk that is not formal in your office. When you give too much attention on unnecessary something or talk, haaa my sister we are too close , we do like family , we ask for each other's advice, there is no way two women will stand to talk that gossiping won't come in, so let's be wise in some aspects if we want an healthy environment for this profession.
When it's time to share things , what did you lay down. Never have such mind of saying give the old staff and when it remains you can give the new, enemy will be plenty, is just that in teaching we are not so observant of some issues among members of staff which is causing lack of unity.
When a primary school boy celebrates birthday, let whatever comes in be shared among the primary school teachers let it stay there, if it's from Nursery let everything stay in Nursery, Do not do this is my friend , that is my friend, school owners and heads have to address this.
Concerning the birthday celebration, I personally make sure my pupils are satisfy, I don't care if any staff is stretching neck. We should learn to satisfy the learners first, in anything either class party, birthday or other events. Some teachers are hungry always looking out on children things, let's stop it.
Hold meetings and giving out the right information at all time will be healthy, not that, this one will hear from this and tell this and even add her own.when issues arises like a staff absence , it's not wrong when you address the staff, please this person won't be around for some reasons (say the reasons if it necessary) to avoid unnecessary gossip in the school premises.
TO THE HEAD UNDER THE SCHOOL OWNER
As a head, never you talk about the owner with any staff or when information were asked to be passed , which attitude do you give towards that, is it, "please o, you know this mama her wahala is much, is everything she will be asking us to do, her wahala is much" All this in front of the staffs will make you less because I believe we all have some attitude towards work, so being an head and planting discouragement in people to do the vision and mission of the owner, it will bounce back.
If all the above can be addressed, I believe we can have an healthy staff relationship, teaching profession and school environment.
