Six locations in South Korea where you can see fall leaves

A great time to travel to South Korea is in the autumn, when the country offers great weather and seasonal delights like roasted chestnuts, hot springs, and hiking. The golden scenery, though, is the greatest part. It is renowned for its brilliant greenery due to the trees that cover a large portion of the steep terrain.

Chuseok, a holiday celebrated in Korea throughout the fall, is also a time when families get together, perform ancestral rites, and engage in customary sports and pastimes. In South Korea, there are many wonderful locations to view the changing leaves. Here are the top six to help you reduce your alternatives.

Seoul's Changdeokgung Palace with Namsan Mountain

At Changdeokgung Palace, take in the magnificence of fall and the age-old grandeur.

Right in the middle of Seoul, the majestic Namsan Mountain offers a panoramic view of the entire city, especially in the fall when the landscape is changed by a display of vibrant red, orange, and yellow foliage. A sizable park that is renowned for trekking surrounds it, and N Seoul Tower, a soaring landmark, sits atop it.

 

To see the sunset from the tower's observation deck, climb (or take the cable car) up the mountain during prime viewing time. Keep an eye out for the Secret Garden and the 15th-century Changdeokgung Palace below. This unique garden is home to plum, gingko, maple trees, and more, with kaleidoscopic-like colors in the fall. Moxy Seoul Myeongdong, which is situated between the mountain.
