Warm distilled water.
Steps in preparing coconut oil.
Step 1
Break the coconut with a blunt object and separate the meat from the shell.
Step 2
Cut the coconut flesh into pieces with a knife or shred the coconut flesh with a scrapper.
Step 3
Blend the pieces of coconut to a smooth paste with warm water by using a high quality blender.
Step 4
Carefully pour your blended ingredient (coconut) in a sieve to separate the coconut milk from the chaff.
Step 5
Pour the coconut milk in a clean bowl, then cover it and refrigerate for twelve hours, this will cause the coconut oil to cake and separate from water.
Step 6
Place the caked white coconut oil in an empty dried stainless steel pot and place on a medium heat.
Step 7
Stir frequently until the oil starts separating from the residue.
Remove from heat and extract the oil after thirty minutes.
Your coconut oil is ready !
