The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been on strike for over four months due to demands yet to be fulfilled by the Federal Government.
Recently, the National President of the union, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke revealed that the union is ready to call off the strike action as soon as the Federal Government sign it's agreement. He made this known during an online live session on Channels Television.
He further stated that all negotiation has been completed and the proposed payment platform, University Transparency And Accountability Solutions (UTAS) has been successfully tested.
During the live session he said: "As far as ASUU is concerned, the strike can end tomorrow if the Federal Government calls us this night and sign the agreement".
He disclosed that the union is only waiting for the Federal Government response and the government should be challenged for such delay.
