The politics of Nigeria and in extension that of Africa. United in suffering but divided by tribal politics, and so we all bear the brunt of the noose-tightening policies of bad administration irrespective of creed or tribe.
The creed; mostly imported, fiercely and passionately preached as the light, as though the preacher witnessed the events personally. In some cases you are compelled to accept or be killed. All based on a book, which in our today, if you practice the contents of some chapters, you will have a jail for home. But lets not dwell much on the matter of religion. It will surely be a matter of another day.
The tribe; even though the creed and religious teaching in literal tells you about truth, light, love, peace and unity, but in practice is all about division, hate and each unit claiming to be the one and better than the other, when all that matters is humanity and what is required preaching is unity. The unity that would have brought us together in demanding good governance, equity and accountability from the leaders, the politicians.
The politicians that are united by common interest of plundering our nation irrespective of the name their political party bears. After all, they all lack ideology but see the political party as a special purpose vehicle to ride to their primary aim of enriching themselves. The politicians will always win until such a time we understand that they speak one language just like our suffering speaks one language. Everyone of the masses feels and understands the language of suffering irrespective of tribe or religion. So there are basically 2 major tribes in Nigeria; the politicians and we the people; the suffering masses.
The power is with the people but will never be effective, until such a time this second tribe, the people, the suffering masses put aside this primitive divisions along tribal and religious lines and unite as one true tribe. We must stand up together against the political tribe (the politicians) and force them to relinquish that (Power), which belongs to us. We shall then make our true choice of a selfless leader irrespective of what language he speaks nor religion he practices, nor which part of the nation he comes from. Until such a time we the people are able to put tribe and religion aside and unite, the politicians will always win. The politicians will always prevail and we continue complaining. There is strength in unity! If we suffer together, common sense demands that we fight together.
