The Obedient Daughter

I grew up in a poor and sometimes happy family. My mom and dad are farmers, that's our occupation. I studied but didn't graduate. I had the experience of being a working student so I could graduate but my boss was cursed and cursed so I didn't graduate. I still remember working during the day, waking up at 3am to start working and studying from 3pm to 9pm. After coming home from school, do a lot of washing, mop the floor and do the ironing by 11pm and finally go to sleep. I'm the oldest of my siblings, four girls and three boys. And because I'm the first one, I was always able to taste the beating of my parents when I was young. I will pay for the wrong they did. Those are the events that I will never forget. Even the slightest mistake is covered in bruises, the fact that I have a lot of bruises because of my dad's belt and my wounds will be treated with vinegar. I also experienced being put in a sack and hung upside down, beaten by a broom, guava, bamboo. I also experienced kneeling on rice and mango. That's why it was sometimes said that when I grow up I will really leave them. But at the age of 14 I was unable to run away and grow angry with my father. Instead I looked for a job to help them. And finance my studies. I wondered if it was because of what my father had done that I became a disciplined child. And at the age of 30, I still carry the teachings of my parents. And one of the happy and blessed events in my life is that I got to know God, Jehovah. Because of him I became brave to face any challenge in life. Because I know he's always there to support me. I now have a husband and a child and I also teach them what I learned from my parents but not in a way that is too disciplined. Because I believe that the child who only tastes the whip once is afraid of the whip, that is if he is made to understand his every mistake. My son is four years old now and im so proud that at night he reminded me to pray before going to bed and hugs and kisses me saying I love you so much mom. No matter what happens, as long as God is with me, I am not afraid.
