The pride of owns language

The Luo nation are so much proud of their language unlike my community.

Every office I've visited in Rongo University (And I mean 99% of employees here are from the same community) all converse in their native language like it is the university official language. That is not until you provoke the #EngLuo in them, you'll lose to the Mama Mboga's my friend.

In my community the majority of the learned friends or let me say persons, would rather not even identify theirselves with their real names just to distort their identity. They'd speak to you in any foreign language just because they don't want to be identified as Maasai's.

Why? If you stay with this guys their engagement is always on Dholuo(it's why I love them) and they'll always refer every individual with his/her profession like Engineer Omondi. Hata kama anafanya car wash.

Then here comes our people. Apart from engaging in the native language if perhaps you have provoked them.

You ever met with Maasai girls in campus (Majority, not all)? They are the illest of all hypocrites.

They will even put on pretense of not recognizing you in public if you attempt conversing in Maasai. It is really regrettable.

And as for me, I've been #''Luonated''. I believe everyone is supposed to accept his/her identity, because not communicating in your language won't change your community affiliation, not even the fact that you still remain #Nasieku, or #Naisula. Nothing!

Anyway, it's my belief that persons, no matter what tribe/community you belong, be proud of it.
