She Showed Me the Way Back to Myself: How One Influencer from Tiktok Helped Me Start Healing

For a long time, I didn’t even realize I needed healing. I thought anxiety, restlessness, and emotional exhaustion were just part of life mostly part of being “strong.” I was always doing, always thinking, always bracing for the next thing.Deep down, I was tired. Not just physically, but spiritually. I didn’t feel safe in my own body.

Then one night, during a mindless scroll through social media, I found her.She wasn’t someone I knew, just a woman sharing soft, honest videos about healing, nervous system regulation, and how meditation changed her life. Her voice was calm. Her presence felt safe. Her words were like she was speaking directly to the part of me I had long forgotten.

I kept watching.

She introduced me to a world I’ve never been taught, where rest is sacred, where ny body is wise, and where peace is something you practice, not chase. As clueless as I was at the time, her content gave me hope. It made the path feel less intimidating. It gave me the courage to begin researching, learning, and trying.

And so I began.

Meditation didn’t come naturally at first. Sitting still felt uncomfortable. My thoughts were loud, and my body resisted the stillness, but something inside me whispered, keep going!. Slowly, I started learning how my nervous system had been stuck in survival mode. How everything I thought was “just anxiety” was actually my body crying out for safety.

Through gentle breathing, grounding practices, and quiet moments of stillness, I began to feel again. To trust again. To return to self.

Meditation became a portal, one I now walk through daily. It isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it. Healing, I’ve learned that is not only about perfection, but presence, about choosing to meet yourself with kindness, especially when it’s hard.

That woman online, she’ll probably never know how much she helped me,she chose to share her truth, I found mine. Now I live with this quiet mission in my heart to keep healing, and to one day be that light for someone else.

So if you’re just beginning, or wondering if this journey is even possible for you.I want you to know.it is. Start small. Start wherever you are. Follow the breadcrumbs. There is no shame in not knowing. There is only grace in choosing to learn.

Start with breath. Start with one quiet moment. Start with the whisper that says: Come home to yourself.
