UK University Suspends Senator Ekweremadu As Visiting Lecturer Amid Organ Harvesting Trial.

The University of Lincoln, United Kingdom, has suspended the embattled previous Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, whom it as of late designated as a visiting lecturer, Corporate and International Linkages.

This comes in the midst of charges against Ekweremadu and his significant other, Beatrice Nwanneka for supposedly scheming to traffic a kid to the European country for organ harvesting.

The supposed victim, one Ukpo Nwamini David was said to have been taken from Nigeria to the UK with the identification of a 41-year-old person.

The London Mail yesterday cited the college's representative as saying that Ekweremadu's obligations at the establishment had been suspended for the present.

The representative said, "Visiting teachers are frequently, as is for this situation, non-occupant at the college, unpaid and advisory.

"We are profoundly worried about the idea of these claims, yet as this is a functioning police examination, we can't remark further at this stage.

"Whilst this matter is subject to investigation, senator Ike Ekweremadu will not be undertaking any duties as visiting professor at University of Lincoln

Ekweremadu had earlier this month tweeted about the news of the appointment by the University of Lincoln as a visiting lecturer on his official Twitter account.

The tweet reads, “It was a pleasure and an honour to receive a letter of appointment by the University of Lincoln, UK, as Visiting Professor of Corporate and International Linkages.

“I also got a highly treasured gift which is a copy of the Magna Carta. It was created in 1215, about 807 years ago.”

In the interim, there are claims that the youngster at the focal point of the organ collecting charge, is said to have entered the United Kingdom (UK) on the case that he was 41 years of age.

As per a report by London Mail, David likewise didn't realize that he was taken to London to give his kidney.

The 15-year-old was given the visa of a 41-year-old to get into the UK, yet didn't realize he was there to give a kidney until he went for an emergency clinic arrangement in London, a court heard on Thursday, the mail cited Prosecutor Damla Ayas as telling the Uxbridge Magistrates Court.

The investigator said the identification was unlawfully obtained.

The paper added: "After he (David) showed up in the capital in February, he had a line of clinical arrangements about kidney gift, yet a specialist at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, North London, became worried about the kid's genuine age and in the event that he realized he was there to give an organ.

"He was given a clinical travel visa saying the motivation of the movement was to give clinical treatment to the respondents' girl who was going through dialysis comparable to various medical problems.

"It was planned, it was arranged. Blood tests were acquired in Nigeria and he went to the UK in February this year.

“He was taken to several medical appointments, in particular a medical appointment at the Royal Free Hospital, and was spoken to by a consultant about the organ harvesting for a kidney transplant.

“The consultant was concerned about his actual age and was concerned he was not aware he was the donor of the kidney. He only found out that the purpose of his visit was for an organ transplant when he visited the hospital.”

The couple are charged with conspiracy to arrange or facilitate travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting.

The kidney was meant for their daughter, Sonia, who requires a kidney transplant.

If found guilty by the UK magistrate court, senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife risk 10-year jail term.
