Role Summary

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for prospecting, acquiring, and retaining clients to strengthen the company’s market position and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will build and nurture client relationships while implementing effective marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  1. Set and achieve periodic sales and marketing targets.
  2. Identify and target potential clients, generate leads, and convert them into customers.
  3. Develop proposals and presentations for new business opportunities.
  4. Maintain an updated database of target clients and competitors.
  5. Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met.

Marketing & Strategy

  1. Provide leadership to the sales and marketing team to meet company goals.
  2. Gather market insights to refine the company’s product and customer experience.
  3. Conduct market research to identify customer needs and trends.
  4. Provide input into marketing communication and brand development.
  5. Keep up with digital financial services trends and recommend innovations.

Client Relationship Management

  1. Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  2. Offer financial advice and recommend suitable investment options to clients.
  3. Monitor industry competition and suggest strategies to enhance the company’s competitive advantage.

Reporting & Team Development

  1. Prepare sales performance reports for management review.
  2. Train junior sales and marketing officers to enhance their skills and performance.
  3. Participate in quarterly and annual strategic planning meetings.
  4. Attend industry events and provide insights on market trends.
  5. Conduct performance appraisals for marketing department staff.
  6. Attend weekly management meetings and contribute sales and marketing insights.

Other Duties

  1. Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the company’s management.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification in Marketing is required.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience in a bank or financial institution.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strategic and creative thinking abilities.
  • Proven ability to develop, launch, and scale digital financial products.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial services.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and numerical skills.

Remuneration

  • From N500,000.00 (Net) and above (based on relevant industry experience).
