There are a few habits that the majority of people have that are bad for smartphones and shorten their lives.

Here are several behaviors you must avoid if you value your phone and want to lower the likelihood that it will be quickly damaged.

1. Using a damaged cable or the incorrect charger.

Every smartphone has a certain level of electric voltage that it is intended to accept, and the best way to control this voltage is to use the specific charger that the manufacturer has advised. Using the incorrect charger or one that is likely higher in voltage than the phone can handle may result in the motherboard of the phone being destroyed. Additionally, your phone could break if you use improvised charging cables that aren't designed for it.

2. Downloading software from untrusted sources.

The majority of smartphone specialists have stated that downloading apps or games from unauthorized websites, especially those that use an unsecure internet protocol, is not always safe. Some of these websites have dangerous software that, when downloaded to your phone, can break it or be used to demand sensitive information.

3. Making phone calls while using an electrical source.

One such technique can result in the phone blowing up from overheating. The act of using a smartphone while it is connected to a power source can put one's life in danger by increasing their chance of electrocution and explosion, among other things.

4. Setting the phone down in a warm environment or using it close to a stove.

Similar to the preceding point, using a smartphone in a hot environment or putting it on a heating appliance or device with a high heat setting is a practice that could harm the phone's hardware as well as cause it to explode and injure anybody nearby. Every smartphone contains combustible substances like sodium chloride, chloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and other electrolytes that can blow up when heated.

5. Tucking your phone under your pillow.

Most individuals like to keep their phone beneath their pillow when they sleep at night, possibly to prevent theft or to keep it nearby for quick access. Whatever the cause, it is crucial to realize that this behavior might endanger human life in addition to damaging the phone. Your smartphone requires air to function, just like humans do. The smartphone will overheat and explode if it is kept in an enclosed space with little to no ventilation.
