Below are some list of social welfare services expected to be addressed in 21century and with hope to ease your mind, the content is purely US a superpower from which Nigeria drawn her models of governing.

For a nation to be considered as Welfare State, some requirements must be fulfilled which they are tailored towards ensuring well-being and easing the condition of less opportune citizens of the state.

■ To find homes for parentless children.

■ To rehabilitate people who are addicted to alcohol or drugs.

committed criminal offenses.

■ To empower individuals, groups, families, organizations, and communities to improve their circumstances.

Judgementally not sentimentally Nigeria is not a welfare state, as most of the above mentioned requirements are absent or low in provision.

Moreover the little efforts made in the process of providing wellbeing to the less privileged individuals is either divert or embezzled by the bodies responsible for sharing it to the claimants.

The only way out of such cruelty is to served the offenders with harsh law system, and extra resources need to be pumped by both government and other philanthropists into the system for meeting the global expectations.

Why bothering oneself with criterias which are not realistic to the communities in question. We the African or Nigerians were always yearning for what does not fit our communal living.

Originally Africans are extended family oriented, and every social security and protection for a man was source and realises from family and/or community he belongs to.

The system is simply self-help in nature were you scratch my back and I will scratch yours in case of need. However, child will pay back the gratification he received at childhood to his parents and community members.

The best way to address the African problem is to enhance the capacity of families with which they attended their social, cultural and economic responsibilities in amicable manner.

In any circumstances where an individual households can not meet their families sustenance, it will lead to low level of productivity and crime will be availed.

Thus, it will make things better if African countries or Nigeria in specific make a U turn to the old formats for social welfare services.
