HOW TO AVOID OVERSPENDING YOUR MONEY

1. Make a plan:

Everything starts with plan, scientists plan and procedurally execute them to achieve innovative technology and inventions.

 

 

So does economic decisions, they must have a plan. Making a plan means having a list of what you want to spend your money on.

 

The list can be as long as infinity. Ensure you exhaust all the things you want in the plan but, ensure at all times the list of items are reasonable and useful.

 

 

 

2. Identifying the important items:

 

The plan is a rough scope of what you require to purchase. Having a closer look on it and defining them based on need and not availability is key.

 

Ensure you cancel out all the unnecessary things from the plan and narrow down to a list of essential. This is important in ensuring you don't spend your hard earned coins in unnecessary items.

 

 

 

 

3. Make a budget:

All financial decions and projects must have a projected estimate budget, your shopping and personal expenditure is no different. Make an estimated cost of goods and items you want to acquire.

 

 

 

 

Atleast make a table of items with the name of item and its cost. You don't have to have a complex budget, keep it simple and easy for you. Make a total sum of all the items and that makes your budget for the expenditures.

 

The budget is not the actual sum cost of your items or goods but it is an estimate. Be flexible to adjust at any time depending on the market.

 

 

4. Do a market survey:

Market value of items and goods varies from place to place or even municipality. So ensure you have a better understanding of the real scope of the prices of what you want to purchase in the market.

 

 

Make comparisons and conclude on the price that is within your reach in terms of budget and available.

 

This will cut you on buying unnecessarily expensive items when there are cheaper ones of the same quality in a nearby outlet.

 

 

5. Be discipline during purchase:

Making it your responsibility to see that you buy what you listed in the budget is paramount to ensuring you do not overspend in some other items not in the budget.

 

 

Be discipline and stick to the shopping list, do not deviate otherwise you will be overspending spree and end up broke.

 

Make this important choice and you be good to say you've matured in managing your hard earned money. 

 

 

6. Buy goods of approved standards:

Quality comes with it's standards and so does longevity of the items you want to spend your money on.

 

If buy any achance or mistake you buy goods of poor quality, be sure they would not  last and so in no time you will be back in the shelves again purchasing another one.

 

Watch out on the standards of items you buy and so will you give value for your money and avoid overspending.
