BOMA THE FEMALE MECHANIC
Based on a True Life Story
Chapter One:Boma first tools box
Boma was not your typical young woman. She was a mechanic — a female auto technician who loved her work more than anything else. Every drop of sweat, every grease stain, and every sound of an engine roaring back to life gave her a sense of pride that words could barely describe.
Her journey had begun when she was just nineteen. Life had not been kind to her. For reasons she could never fully understand, her parents stopped supporting her education. They refused to pay her school fees, and as a result, Boma never wrote her WAEC exams. Her dreams of going to the university slowly faded away.
She carried that secret silently — the fact that she was a dropout. No one ever knew, and she made sure of it. She spoke English fluently, even better than most graduates, which made it easy for people to believe she had completed her education. But deep down, she carried the weight of that truth like a hidden scar.
At twenty-four, Boma still had another secret: she had never dated anyone before. Despite having many admirers, she was terrified of relationships — not because she hated men, but because she feared pregnancy and the responsibilities it might bring. She had her reasons, personal ones that she kept buried deep inside.
Among her few treasures was a toolbox — a gift from her father. It was the heart of her small world, filled with spanners, screwdrivers, and wrenches that had helped her build a living. Over time, she added more tools to it, turning it into a symbol of her independence.
One afternoon, her father asked to borrow the toolbox. Trusting him completely, she handed it over without hesitation. But days passed, and he never returned it. When she finally discovered the truth — that her father had sold her precious tools to fund his gambling — her heart broke into pieces.
Some people might laugh at that story today, calling it funny or ordinary. But to Boma, it was betrayal. It was the moment she began to despise the man who gave her life.
From that day, anger became her closest companion. She drifted into odd jobs, fell in with the wrong crowd, and for a time, lost herself to drugs. Every time she thought of the past — of her father’s rejection, of her lost dreams — the pain returned stronger.
Her father had always wanted her to become a lawyer, perhaps because he was an engineer and wanted a “prestigious” career for his daughter. But Boma never wanted that life. She loved engines, gears, and the smell of oil. And because she chose differently, her father never took her seriously again.
One day, in a fit of anger, he threw her out of the house. Homeless and heartbroken, she found refuge in a nearby church. The pastor offered her a place to stay in exchange for small chores around the compound. Days later, her father came to the church, spoke with the pastor, and eventually took her back home.
She stood in front of her small mirror that day, wearing her new overall, smiling with a heart full of hope. She didn’t know that her story was just beginning — and that the road ahead would be filled with twists, confusion, heartbreak, and unexpected turns.
This is only the beginning of Boma the Mechanic’s story.
Stay tuned for Chapter Two, where her past meets her future — and her strength is tested like never before.stay tuned
Life didn’t magically get easier after that. But Boma never gave up. She pushed herself harder, worked longer hours, and with a bit of help from friends, managed to buy her first mechanic overall.
It was more than just workwear — it was a her uniform and she was proved of it and she thought that she was exposed enough and ready to date but didn't expect what had happened next that
move was a start to more complications and horror being displayed in her thoughts she didn't believe he couldn't do such a thing till today (I'll talk about this topic of what had happened in detail in chapter 2)so thento be continued
