Broken đź’”

There's a kinda heart the world doesn't talk about

It's a heart that care and loves even when no one is watching

The heart that sacrifices even when it's breaking

The heart that lifts others, Carries others and still whispers don't worry I've got you

It's the heart that keeps pushing you

Praying for you

Encouraging you

Supporting you

And still showing up any time any moment

Out of charity, out of kindness, out of love

Not because you asked but because that's who they truly are

And then... You make it

The dream happens.. door opens

And in that same moment of breakthrough, that same lifting hand gets a sentence that breaks it

"I never asked you to help me"

Said carelessly. Said as a joke. Said intentionally

Those seven words

They don't just hurt

They erase

The make the person feel like a coward

Like their efforts meant nothing

Like their love was in vain

Confidence gone

Joy gone

Appreciation is beautiful but we're so quick to forget

To that helping hand that feels forgotten

Your love was not in vain

You did it with pure heart and God sees that

Surely you will be rewarded

And to the one who has made it

Don't let your success give you amnesia

Because character is who you are when you don't need people who needed you
