Assessments in education are meant to get the best out of education if they are understood well by the learners to ensure that quality education is administered to them. The evaluations in the education system are accompanied by either formative or a summative assessment. There is a need to balance these assessments when accomplishing the objectives of any education evaluation. Equitability in resource allocation plays a crucial role in the learners' performance in the assessment tests. Some education systems may need plenty of resource allocation, while others may need plenty of accountability of the educational resources. These requirements are therefore based on the peculiar dynamics of the system. For this reason, I decided to opt for two variables that are essential for the progress of the learner. These variables are; emotional intelligence and academic achievement.

The Rationale for Studying Emotional Intelligence

According to (Ashraf & Khan, 2018), emotional intelligence can help deal with workplace bullying. My Rationale for choosing this variable is based on workplace bullying, which minimizes the workers' productivity. Emotional intelligence is essential in curbing harassment that occurs at the workplace. The use of interpersonal links and creating an enabling environment for every worker aids in valuing empathy. Through my research, I realized that individuals with strong personal skills possess high emotional intelligence skills compared to those with weak interpersonal connections. Research conducted shows that social desirability has limited effects on emotional intelligence. According to (Jeffries 2011), maturity in morality is vital in ensuring emotional intelligence since the majority of the morally stable workers have engaged in workplace bullying less often. Workplace harassment influences the mood of the workers being harassed, leading to poor decision-making that results in low productivity. According to the research conducted by (Liptak 2005), most college learners undergo several difficulties when transiting from school to their workplace. Therefore, career counselors should engage these learners in guiding practices and explain what to expect at their workplace away from school. The learners have to develop personal and interpersonal skills while leaving school for their new workstations. This will enable them to create solid mental intelligence to foresee the impending stress from their colleagues at the workplace. However, according to (Mortan et al., 2019), the effects of emotional intelligence are needed at the workplace, and the ambitions of all entrepreneurs rely on emotional intelligence for quality decision-making. Individual features and the consideration of the population are crucial in acquiring the goals of personal employment. According to (Skordoulis et al., 2020), there exists a relationship between conflict resolution and emotional intelligence since the assessment of emotions is based on emotional intelligence, which later guides the decision-making process.

The Rationale for Studying Academic Achievement variable

The Rationale for choosing the academic achievement variable was based on the effects of emotional intelligence on academics. The achievement of most learners in their academic work relies solely on their emotional intelligence. The decisions made by the learners regarding academics are based on critical thinking, which is based on emotional intelligence. According to research ( Singh, 2020), motivation plays a more prominent role in the emotional well-being of the learners. Explanation helps learners engage in events that bring the behavior of learners closer to academic excellence. These involve activities such as good planning and organization. Through motivation, the learners can master their requirements and abilities by solving individual uncertainty, hence making Singh conclude that reason is subject to the concept. Instilling a basis in young children is vital in helping learners through their journey of academic excellence. Through this, the learner's expectations change positively. Motivation helps create a balance between the anticipation and the learners' achievement at every stage of education to optimize the learner's academic progress. According to(Lacour 2011), poverty plays a vital role in impacting the outcomes in America. A specific source of poverty is missing out on the necessary resources required to provide a good learning environment in society. Some learners from low-income earners experience fees problems hence making them not perform well in their academics (Alam & Ahmad, 2018). Poverty is also associated with the policies of the country and the extent to which they help learners from poor backgrounds in obtaining academic success. Poverty has numerous negative impacts on the learners' performance; hence other psychological and communal factors contribute to the learner's achievement in academics. The role of personal concepts in the achievement of education is significant. Instead of emphasizing the external issues affecting the learners' academic performance, it is vital to focus on the internal factors such as the culture and leadership of the learners( Herrera et al., 2020).

In conclusion, Emotional intelligence is essential in curbing harassment at the workplace. The use of interpersonal links and creating an enabling environment for every worker aids in valuing empathy. Through my research, I realized that individuals with strong personal skills possess high emotional intelligence skills compared to those with weak interpersonal connections. In addition, The decisions made by the learners regarding academics are based on critical thinking, which is based on emotional intelligence. According to research ( Singh, 2020), motivation plays a more prominent role in the emotional well-being of the learners. Explanation helps learners engage in events that bring the behavior of learners closer to academic excellence. These involve activities such as good planning and organization.
