Life in the Ghetto Made Me Street Smart, Not Broken

I grew up in a place where the electricity plays hide and seek, water cuts randomly, and gunshots are part of the night playlist. But I ain't broken. In fact, ekasi taught me the most valuable lessons no school ever did.

You learn to read people fast. You learn respect, hustle, and how to move in silence. You learn how to bounce back even when you’ve got nothing in your pockets but pride and dreams.

People look down on us like we're just stats for crime and poverty. But what they don't see is the raw talent, the survival skills, and the heart we carry. We’re not lazy — we’re tired. Tired of systems that fail us. But still… we fight back.

So yeah, life in the hood is tough. But it made me sharper, wiser, and more grateful. If you made it out or still tryna make it — you’re not a failure. You’re a soldier.
