Nasty Feeling
Chapter One: Sweet Beginnings
Amaka stood at the balcony of her father’s house, staring at the sunset. Her heart felt light, filled with love and excitement. She had always believed that love was the most beautiful gift in the world — and with David, it felt true.
David was charming, intelligent, and supportive. He had been her backbone since they met at the university. They shared dreams of starting a family, traveling the world, and building an empire together.
Amaka’s best friend, Chidinma, was also a big part of her life. They had been friends since secondary school, and Amaka trusted her like a sister.
Everything seemed perfect… or so she thought.

Chapter Two: Signs of Darkness
Slowly, Amaka started noticing strange behaviors. David began coming home late, ignoring her calls, and acting distant. Whenever she questioned him, he dismissed her worries with sweet words and expensive gifts.
Chidinma, too, started behaving oddly. She stopped visiting Amaka as often, and when they talked, she avoided eye contact and gave short answers.
Amaka’s heart grew heavy with suspicion, but she convinced herself that it was just stress from work or wedding preparations.

Chapter Three: The Bitter Truth
One rainy evening, Amaka decided to surprise David at his apartment. She carried a hot pot of his favorite egusi soup, wearing the new dress he had bought for her birthday.
When she arrived, she heard laughter from inside. Curious, she tiptoed to the window and peeked in. Her heart stopped.
There, in the living room, sat David and Chidinma, wrapped in each other’s arms, laughing and sharing wine.
Amaka’s pot fell to the ground, shattering and scattering soup everywhere. The noise made them rush out. Chidinma’s eyes widened in shock. David stammered, unable to find words.
Tears streamed down Amaka’s face as she looked at the two people she trusted most in the world. Without a word, she ran out into the rain, her heart pounding with pain.

Chapter Four: A Nasty Feeling
For days, Amaka locked herself in her room, refusing food and calls. Her mother, Mama Ebere, sat by her door, praying and weeping for her daughter.
Inside, Amaka felt a deep “nasty feeling” — a mix of betrayal, anger, and deep sadness. She felt dirty, worthless, and lost.
Soon, she discovered that David and Chidinma had not only betrayed her love but had also plotted to take over her father’s business, which she had been managing. They had forged documents and mismanaged funds, leaving the company at the brink of collapse.
---
Chapter Five: Rising from the Ashes
Mama Ebere refused to let her daughter give up. With her mother’s strength and the support of a few loyal friends, Amaka decided to fight back.
She gathered evidence against David and Chidinma, exposed their crimes, and saved her father’s business. Though it was not easy, her determination surprised even her enemies.
She then started her own fashion brand, Amaka’s Touch, using her creativity and passion to heal. Her designs soon gained national attention, and she became a successful entrepreneur.

Chapter Six: The Fall
Meanwhile, David and Chidinma’s relationship fell apart. Greed and guilt consumed them, and they lost the respect of their community.
David tried to apologize, but Amaka refused to allow him back into her life. Chidinma, broken and alone, realized too late that she had traded friendship and love for empty promises.

Chapter Seven: New Beginnings
Years later, Amaka stood on a runway stage as her new collection received a standing ovation. She looked into the audience and saw Mama Ebere smiling proudly.
She realized that the “nasty feeling” had been a turning point — a painful but necessary path that led her to strength and self-love.
Amaka chose forgiveness, but she never forgot. She learned to guard her heart and cherish true loyalty.
At last, she was free — strong, independent, and happy.
