US warned China against supporting Russia after the sanctions laboured on the latter so as to make it stop the aggression on Ukraine. But u might have heard the response of Chinese government threatening to teach American a lesson they had never seen.
This to me is as a result of the fact that China wants to try its position as number two world super power and challenge the number one. I know after ww2 and cold war, China might have made great strides in war technology which some of them might not have been shown to the world hence this might be the opportunity to use them.
But do you think Americans have been sleeping since Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombing?? I would wish to state that as much as US are not vocal about their military strength no country should undermine them. No country would wish to lose its status and definitely Americans won't dare.
