Do a followup on your thought pattern , pay attention to your inner monologue, and when words like” I am not smart enough”
‘’I am too fat. I am a failure’’.
“ Everyone hates me” ,
“ I am not strong enough to compete, so I won’t even try”. Etc come often, it is time for you to replace it with a positive thought pattern.
- Resist the urge to compare yourself with another
People who constantly compare themselves often feel inadequate. They believe everyone around them is better than they are.
People who compare always feel inadequate because people with this type of thought pattern are always busy comparing themselves with other people, and believing that everyone around them is better than them.
- Differentiate between opinion and facts
You have to learn how to differentiate between your opinions and facts, and most of the time the negative thoughts are just opinions
Facts are usually irrefutable, for example, I am 26 years old and this can be confirmed by my birth certificate. That's a fact. Opinions on the other hand are usually not irrefutable. For example, I am not smart, that's an opinion some may believe or not.
- Ignore thoughts that catastrophize makes sweeping judgment about their entire life based on a single event that happened in their life. For example, a catastrophizer might think, “I got a B in this class instead of an A. Now I’ll never find a job
Finally, always be kind to yourself. Forgive yourself as many times as possible. Focus on positive energy.
