RECEIVE ME, O HEAVENS
*The last words of an innocent criminal*
Now that this is my last day on earth,the sorrow in me knows no bounds,as my spirit has folded itself in tears,awaiting the very moment it will be expelled from this earth.
I never knew I would meet my end in this form. Never did I imagine that I would watch with my eyes as death comes to me. Now that I'm tied to this stake,waiting for the firing squad to release hot bullets into me,I wish to mourn myself now that I have yet few minutes left.
Are there poets in this place,watching me pass through this perilous moments? Let them write me an elergy when I'm gone,to tell the word that fate is a cruel planner. To the singers in this place,compose the dirge of my existence, telling the world how the designation of destiny has brought me doom.
And let the actors here take up the stage when I'm gone, to make a drama of a man who was condemned even in his innocence because he had no evidence.
The hour is near. So this is my last prayer before crossing the bar: Receive me,O heavens.
