Often times when we are met with the indispensable challenges of life,in those moments when we stumble upon the trials and tribulations which are inescapable in life, we always make this courageous attempt to keep ourselves going, with that strong belief that one day things will be alright. No one is entirely strong in the face of challenges, not even one person can handle tough times with the same sweetness, the same disposition as he would handle the best of rosy times. But we would all agree that to some extent we are driven by hope in moments of difficulty; hope becomes the major thing we cling to. In such times of battle, hope becomes our whole weapon of warfare. It becomes our armour, our shield, our arrow, our bow; because it is the only thing we have left on us,it is the standing profit of our life investments.
It is the only thing—hope—that takes us to the climax of optimism, such that we dare to say,“When the risen dust settles,we shall be fine”.
But man must be prepared for any thing, for even the dust may rise and refuse to settle. Strange things happen without obtaining permission, and as an African proverb states,“Trouble comes with his own mat and chair,so that the person it visits won't use lack of accommodation as an excuse.” So what then shall a man do when trouble visits him with its own mat? What shall mankind, in general, do when the dust rises and dominates the air,but refuses to settle?...
