Shocking: 3 Soldiers were Attack by Gunmen in Abuja

According to reports, three soldiers from the 7th battalion of the Nigerian Army Guards Brigade were hurt during an ambush by gunmen in Abuja.

The battalion is a part of the Guards Brigade, which looks after the president's security.

Military reports claim that the soldiers were ambushed as they were on routine patrol along the Kubwa-Bwari road on Sunday at around 4 o'clock.

According to the sources, the ambush's location indicated that the nearby Nigerian Law School may have been the gunmen's intended target.

However, it was said that the soldiers were able to stop the attack, and the injured are currently receiving care at an army hospital.

According to a source, "Details on the severity of their injuries are still being confirmed."

The army's spokeswoman, Onyema Nwachukwu, was unavailable to comment on the attack right away.

In the midst of recent rumors of kidnappings in the nation's capital, the development occurred.

The Federal Government College, Kwali, in the federal capital territory (FCT), was ordered to close immediately on Monday by the ministry of education due to security concerns.

Ben Goong, the ministry of education's head of press and public relations, explained the choice in a statement released on Monday, attributing it to a security breach in the neighborhoods surrounding the school.

In the meantime, armed assailants raided the Kuje Area Council jail facility earlier in July, and hundreds of inmates—including possible Boko Haram members—escape.
