The act of working from home should not be the only concern when remote work for an employee is put up for consideration. An employee could also make use of other places, like a pub, restaurant, public library, etc, for his/her remote work. The particular place an employee chooses would decide on how concentrated he/she would be on that work. Or it might even be the other way around; the work might be too thick and require high focus.
Most work environments are majorly made up of shallow offices. These rooms do not, at times, give most employees what they want in order to perform well. The ideas of a productive person might be limited in the confines of a room. The human mind is an abstract material. In most cases, it needs to travel in a bid to gain experiences. Even though the mind can still work around with previous contents, it would not really be productive for an employee and his work environment.
I once worked at a cyber café —this was a place where I rendered computer services and sold computer products to customers. The work load in the said café was too much, so I usually transferred most of the tasks to my house. These were possible tasks that I could have done the previous days, but I found comfort in the remote aspect of my work. I never needed to move with all the important machines in the company before I could be able to do my job remotely. I would handle most of the problems with my personal computer and do the casual ones at the café. This scenario really showed how relative my job was. It proved to me that my business was not confined to only an environment.
When an employee solves most of his work problems outside his real office it could boost high productivity. This is so in the sense that he/she would not become a procrastinator. For instance, he might not be able to finish up a job in a day and then decide to push it up to the next day. Surprisingly, he/she might feel uninterested when that day comes. But when he/she moves the job to a possible environment and executes it, then the progress of the job might be on the high side.
These days, fast rising firms or companies focus on remote works. They have used such a strategy to improve the relationship of their employees and also grow themselves to successful peaks. The concept here is that the possible future of any organization lies in the productivity of its employees.
