WHEN YOU FEEL THAT THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT PERSONS INSIDE YOUR BODY

Dear reader, according to the analysis of verses of the Qur'an and various Hadiths; corresponding to the signs in neurological therapy, you have a softcopy [soul] inside your body [inside the heart and brain]. You have made this softcopy yourself since you were taken out of your mother's womb; through hearing and seeing. It includes cognition [attention, learning, thinking, perception, problem-solving, memory, understanding, focus, planning, etc] and emotions [sadness, anger, happiness, fear, shame, disgust, pride, anxiety, etc]. The core of cognition and emotion is the heart. However, there are cognitive and emotional centers in the brain that are influenced by the cognitive and emotional aspects of the heart. A long-term study conducted by Heart Math in the United States has reported that there is a reciprocal connection and interaction between cognition and emotion.

The convergence and reciprocal interaction between cognition and emotion enable information about emotions to have the influence to modify or control cognitive activities; at the same time, cognitive information influences or controls emotional processes.

This convergence and mutual interaction between cognition and emotion should go well at the same time [synchronized]. If the level of alignment [degree of alignment] is not the same [is not synchronized] between cognition and emotion, severe behavioral changes occur that will make you feel like there are two different people in your body.

It can also lead to feeling confused [being confused], difficulty making decisions, fear, and lack of consistency of principles or bases to decide what is important in life.

On the contrary, if the level of alignment [degree of alignment] is the same [is synchronized] between cognition and emotion, you will feel safer, and you will have a balance of principles or bases to decide what is important in life, a good response to stressful situations, and increased stability and internal balance.

However, emotions have a strong influence to push or control cognitive activities. They do a great job of managing the evolution of your consciousness, and the performance of all mental functions.

That is why it is recommended that, in order to maintain a state of balance [synchronization] between cognition and emotion, the key is to be emotionally aware of yourself, and to be aware and then implement techniques to adjust your emotions.
