This story is about a 12 year old girl who was kidnapped by a group of men who wanted to force her into premature marriage. This girl had been declared missing for about a week, giving her family great cause for sorrow and concern. However, the story doesn't end there, there seem to be an heavenly intervention in the bid to save her. It was gathered that the police found her in the wild protected by three fierceful lions, initially she was terrified. But to her greatest surprise, the lions didn't hurt her, they protected her from these men who were kidnappers. It was gathered that the lions who were obviously infuriated by their act, chased the men away and stayed with the girl until the police arrived. As soon as the authorities arrived, they walked away seeing their mission was accomplished. Experts in wildlife have tried to explain this unusual act. Some believe the girl’s cries may have sounded like that of a lion's cub in great danger, prompting the lions to protect her out of sheer sympathy. The story of this little girl has left locals, Ethiopians and the whole world in shock and disbelief, serving as a powerful reminder that nature can teach us to love and show compassion in the rarest ways.
