Celebrity comedian Carter Efe bragged on Saturday that his song "Machala" has topped the charts on streaming services in Nigeria.
The song is often seen as an anthem for late singer Wizkid by many afrobeat enthusiasts. Due to its current popularity, Machala has received the most streams this week across all Nigerian streaming services.
Carter Efe, a fan of Wizkid, included young musician Berri Tiga in the song "Machala," with the Grammy-winning singer receiving the most of the plaudits.
When "Machala" announced the accomplishment on his Instagram account, the skit's writer bragged that he was the first comic in Nigeria to accomplish such a feat.
