It was a carnival like event yesterday when the SDP Okitipupa constituency 1 Member House of Assembly candidate in the 2023 general election, Hon. Timothy Ayesuwa defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in a well-attended state declaration rally at the APC state secretariat, Akure Ondo state.
The former SDP candidate, who is a renowned real estate mogul, defected to the All Progressives Congress after resigning his membership of the opposition party on Monday 8th April 2024.
Speaking during the official decamping on Tuesday, the state party chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, described Ayesuwa as a home-bred politician, well grass-rooted with superb antecedent and gracious philanthropy acts.
Also speaking at the event,the party chairman is commend the sagacious efforts put together in the last election.
Timo Akewi was also welcome to the party with his other colleague from the SDP, Hon. Barr. Fadesola Ojamomi (Ilaje Constituency 1), Hon. Tope Adegboye(Ondo East),Hon. Jerry Adeleye Akintomide(Ondo West constituency 2), Hon. Prince Benedict Adegoroye (Akure south).
In attendance was also the National Working Committee it the All Progressive Congress (APC),The party South West youth leader and a lot of his loyalist and followers.
