Food digest

I have been encouraging people to take healthy diets for sometimes now! I have been insisting on people consuming at least four macro and micro nutrients every time they settle for meals.

 

This has been proven to be the best easy and cheap way of controlling the non communicable diseases which are currently burdening the world.

Something I would wish to emphasize on today is the consumption of fresh food staff.

 

Take an example of vegetables. When they are fresh from the farms, they have a lot of nutrients eg vitamin B. But when we store them or refridgirate them for hours or days, we destroy the nutrients.

 

In that case, we may eat these foods not to get the nutrients our bodies require but just to be full.

 

Let's therefore ensure that we take foods which are very fresh always. Avoid refridgirated, canned or even manufactured food staff.
