Im a South African who had the opportunity to work in the USA for 3 years. I think it's natural to compare the quality of life between the two countries.
What most people won't believe is that you would need more money in South Africa to live the same life as you would in the USA. Yep!. Almost everything is more expensive. Cars. Fuel. Basic living needs. Everything.
For example. Interested rates in SA are around 20 to 30% for unsecured lending versus 3 to 8 % in the USA. Fuel prices are almost 3 times more expensive in South Africa than the USA. Cars are around double the price in South Africa versus the USA. Most people will not believe this but it's true, an African Country has a better quality of life than USA. Infact, South Africa has every single thing you can think of in the USA. It's part of BRICKS and has hosted a soccer world cup before.
