In Ile-Oro, peace reigns, but King Adeyemi grows old and frail. Before his death, he dreams of his son, Prince Adetunji, shining by the river. Queen Olufunke confirms that their son’s spirit lives on as the guardian of the river. Comforted, the king asks her to build a shrine so the people will never forget him. After the king’s passing, Queen Olufunke fulfills his wish, and a temple of white stone is built beside the river. Adetunji and Aramide, watching from the spirit realm, bless the shrine with golden light, assuring the people of their eternal protection. Years later, Queen Olufunke feels her time near and speaks to her son by the river. His gentle spirit welcomes her home. The next morning, she is found peacefully by the riverbank. That night, the spirits of the king and queen rise together into the heavens as Babatunde and the people witness the glowing river — a symbol of eternal peace and divine guardianship.

After the fall of the golden valley and the disappearance of the Gate of Òsun, Babatunde awakens alone in the misty forest. His friend, Prince Adetunji, has vanished. All that remains of him is a trace of golden dust — proof that the prince fulfilled his destiny. Babatunde returns to the palace with a heavy heart. When the king and Queen Olufunke hear what happened, grief fills the royal court. Adetunji had given up his soul to free the river spirit, Aramide, ending the curse that had plagued their land. As the queen weeps, the river outside the palace begins to glow and flow peacefully again, and the skies clear a sign that the gods have accepted the prince’s sacrifice. Far beneath the river, Prince Adetunji awakens in a shining blue spirit world. There, he meets Aramide, now freed from her curse and fully human once more. Though Adetunji is no longer human, he finds peace knowing that his sacrifice saved her and his people. He becomes the Spirit Prince, guardian of the river and protector of Ile-Oro. Together, Adetunji and Aramide live beneath the water surrounded by light, fish, and the whispers of the river. Yet, he never forgets his people. From the spirit realm, he blesses the land with rain, clear rivers, and fertile soil. The people of Ile-Oro prosper once more. At night, Queen Olufunke often stands by the river, hearing her son’s gentle voice call her name. Though her heart aches, she smiles, knowing that he still watches over her. Adetunji’s love, sacrifice, and spirit have become one with the river an eternal guardian protecting his kingdom forever.
